This wallpaper gives some good experience with playing light and colors.
Final result:

Open a new document in Photoshop with the size of 1024 X 768 and black background.
Then create a new layer with black background.
Select the new layer and go to filter > render > lens flare.


Then go to image > adjustments > color balance.

Select smudge tool and choose brush size is 32px then draw like this:


Then it’s look like this:

Then make three duplicate of glowing object like this:

Select first layer then go to Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal.

Then select second layer then go to Edit > Transform > Flip vertical.

Then select third layer then go to Edit > Transform > rotate 180%.

Then set first three layer option to lighten.

Then scale all image size like this:

Make new layer and select gradient tool then choose spectrum.

Then draw top to bottom in cross like this:

Then scale the image size like this:

Then last thing you going to do. Go to layer option select hue.
